LeadBot AI ("we", "us") operates the leadbotapp.com website and chat widget services. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you use our product or website.
Information we collect
We collect information you provide through chat widgets, signup forms, and bookings — including name, email, phone, business details, and conversation data used to qualify leads.
How we use information
We use your data to deliver the LeadBot service, send notifications and booking confirmations, improve our product, and provide customer support.
WordPress plugin and Shopify app
If you install our official WordPress plugin or enable the LeadBot app embed on a Shopify storefront, the chat widget loads only after you configure it with your LeadBot Bot ID. Until then, no LeadBot scripts run on your site.
When the widget is active, visitors' browsers load our widget script from leadbotapp.com and request your bot's configuration. If a visitor uses the chat, their messages and any details they provide (such as name, email, phone number, and booking preferences) are sent to LeadBot so we can generate replies, store leads and conversations for your account, and create calendar bookings you have configured.
As the site or store owner, you are responsible for telling your visitors how you use LeadBot and for complying with applicable privacy laws. Our processing of data on your behalf is described in this policy and in your agreement with us.
AI connectors (MCP)
When you connect LeadBot to ChatGPT, Claude, Grok, or another MCP client, that client may call our MCP server at leadbotapp.com. The preview_bot tool may send a public website URL so we can generate a sample greeting (we fetch the page HTML and may use our AI provider to summarize it). After you sign in with OAuth, other tools access your LeadBot account data (bots, leads, bookings, training notes) only for the business tied to your login. OAuth tokens are stored hashed on our servers and expire after about one hour. MCP clients registered via dynamic client registration are stored so tokens can be issued securely. We do not sell connector data. You can revoke access by disconnecting the connector in your AI app and signing out of LeadBot.
